Monthly update for games I played, started playing, continued playing, gave up playing, or beat…. 

In January:  

1. As previously mentioned, earlier this month I completed Lost Judgment on the PS4. Great game! Already reviewed here.

2. On the PS4, my son Zag and I continued the Kingdom Hearts series. In January we finished Dream Drop Distance and played Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage, and finally, finally, at last, we are on to Kingdom Hearts III. These later games are vastly better that the older ones. Still way too much Disney, though. 

3. Last week I had a false start with Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. I own the Switch version, but I just couldn’t get past the first few hours. Not sure if I will continue trying to play, or abandon. However…

4. However… I am now playing Stardew Valley on my tablet. Yes, it’s a mobile version, but so what? It is charming and addicting and surprising. So far the only negative I have to say is that the fishing mechanic is the worst, the most aggravating, the least satisfying, of any game I have ever played. I am giving up on fishing! (But I still need the different fish, so I know it’s going to be a problem.)
